About Rishipratim Guha Mustafi

Born in the bustling heart of Calcutta in 1983, Rishipratim Guha Mustafi’s story unfolds amidst the vibrant chaos of the city. His education began at The Assembly of God Church School, Tollygunge, but his true calling sprouted much earlier, nurtured by the whispering palms and the gentle murmur of nature. A keen eye for landscape photography blossomed within him during his early teens, like a rare flower pushing through cracks in the pavement.

This inherent talent found its first mentor in a kind photo studio owner. Recognizing the spark in Rishipratim’s work, the owner became his guide, offering not just training but also the inspiration to keep chasing the perfect light. However, fate had a different path charted initially. After graduating with a degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Visveswaraiah Technological University, Rishipratim found himself entangled in the world of IT. Yet, the cubicle walls could not contain his yearning for creativity. It was a decision to quit his job and embrace his entrepreneurial spirit that became the turning point. His friends, recognizing his artistic potential, nudged him towards pursuing photography as a profession.

With a growing collection of photographs, Rishipratim delved into the art of post-processing. Online platforms became his virtual classroom, where renowned photographers from across the globe shared their expertise through video tutorials. He meticulously poured over these lessons, honing his skills and transforming his captured moments into breathtaking works of art. The remaining hours were spent meticulously editing his photographs, each click of the mouse a brushstroke on a digital canvas. He then uploaded his creations onto online platforms, patiently waiting for recognition.

Then, like a serendipitous encounter, Penprints Publication entered his life. They saw the extraordinary potential in Rishipratim’s artwork and envisioned a future where his photographs could be admired by the world. This belief, along with Rishipratim’s unwavering dedication, culminated in the creation of this very photo book – a testament to his artistic journey and a window into the world seen through his lens.
